Indie-punk to the core! Mrs Jane is a silly, summery tune about a boy hopelessly in love with his teacher. This song encapsulates our sound perfectly with it’s scrappy guitars, swung drum beat and ridiculous lyrics. Much like our live shows, it tows the line between indie and punk, and has shedloads of energy and humour throughout. Written right at the start of lockdown by frontman Joe, it immediately became a staple of our live shows when the world woke back up and we started gigging again. We were really inspired by bands like The Kooks, Teenage Fanclub, The Wedding Present and Blur for this one, and it contains a fuelled up ode to Simon and Garfunkel’s Mrs Robinson towards the end. It is being released on 22nd July, and it’s the first single from our upcoming debut EP ‘Eat The Pelican” which we are self-releasing on 28th August.
